Ecdysis is the biological process of shedding the outer cuticle, exoskeleton, or skin. The audiovisual dance performance opened the exhibition “Borders & Exits”. It explores the shrinking boundaries between the physical and virtual worlds. The human body becomes both the subject and the sensor, navigating confinement, distortion, and transformation.

Through movement, sound, light, and projection, the piece stages a struggle against spatial and psychological compression. The room full of people, curtains, and projected digital webs define a liminal zone where trauma, memory, and imagination merge. The performance moves from stasis to awakening: the body, initially frozen in a suspended state, gradually reclaims sound and motion, breaking through invisible borders to rediscover freedom within a digitally mediated space.
